Ticked Thursday - Are you Listening?

Have you ever given a presentation when the people in the entire class are CLEARLY uninterested in what you are having to say? Sad day for Jeke, cause this happened to her today...but I also understand this feeling. Yes, sometimes classes can be unbearable early in the morning, but basic listening skills can still be implemented! There's nothing that can distract my presentation skills more than when I see my fellow student audience eyes fluttering open/shut/open/shut...PICK ONE! Either close the eyes or keep them open without the glazing look of death. This is a touchy subject, and I'm sure more than just Jeke and I have been in this position.

Take professors for example. They have to deal with this annoyance everyday! Obviously the more you present, the more you get used to it. But it isn't something anyone should have to get used to! Can we be better listeners? Can we act like we care a little bit? Be a little polite and a little respectful. When someone is talking, whether it's in conversation or formal presentation, it's our responsibility as the audience to listen. If you don't care, fake it ... just for a little bit. Be respectful. If you were presenting or talking, wouldn't you want people to listen??

Common courtesy people. Let's treat each other with respect please.
